DIY Live Music: Meet the Speakers

Dom Frazer is a Director of The Boileroom, a Live Music, Cultural and Community Hub in the heart of Surrey. Established in Sep 2006, The Boileroom hosts a creating space, supporting artists and start-ups. "The hub" now houses over 26 creatives which include fine artists, jewellers, tattoo artists and its very own makerspace initiative.  Last year the space was the proud recipient of the 'Spirit of The Scene Award’ at the Music Week Awards. Frazer also works regularly with the London Music Fund and is a partner to SPACE; Producer, Co-Writer and Mix Engineer on IDLES, Jame Lenman, The Prodigy amongst others. Frazer currently assists him in running their studio 'SPACE Station' based in Surrey. Lastly Frazer is a proud founding member of the Black Futures Expedition Club.  Insta: @dominique_Frazer



Chris Sharpe is Events Manager at Lost In The Manor. He also heads up the bookings at north London venue The Finsbury, where he's been for 8 years now. Sam Jordan is London Regional Official at the Musicians' Union (MU). The MU represents over 30,000 musicians across the UK in all genres of music, providing a range of benefits and services from specialist career advice to legal representation. Long-running MU campaigns in support of musicians and the live sector include; Work Not Play and Keep Music Live. These aim to promote fair pay for musicians and to support grassroots live music venues nationwide. Sam has a wide range of music industry experience, having started his career in Licensing at EMI Records and Warner Music, before running events for the Music Publishers Association and working for three years as an independent live music promoter.
